Microsoft Onenote Taking App For Mac
Milanote caters directly to designers and other visual thinkers but it's not for sketching. It's more of a pasteboard or pinboard, presenting you with a canvas on which you can paste images, arrows, text blocks, checklists, and other elements. Milanote has a drawer on the right side of the page that holds page elements you intend to use but haven't placed yet. I like that you can see and consider all the pieces you need to add without having to put them on the board before you're ready.
Microsoft didn’t give a timeframe for these additions other than “this summer.” Expect these updates to thus roll out by mid-September.
Connecting notes One thing I really like about OneNote is how easily it allows you to link notebooks and pages together. Secondary-click on a paragraph in your document, for example, and a menu appears offering the option to Copy Link to Paragraph. Pasting this link into your document creates a hyperlink to that paragraph; clicking the link takes you right to that paragraph.

Notably, you can record and playback audio created from within the app. Bottom line OneNote remains a powerful tool for capturing notes. While it still lacks features I’d like to see in a note taking app, it remains the most intuitive and versatile app of this sort I’ve used and my one go-to app for creating sophisticated, multi-layered notes. It lacks all the capabilities of its Windows counterpart and it doesn’t offer the the kind of “capture-it-all” versatility you’ll find in Evernote, but it provides tools for organizing your notes you’re unlikely to find anywhere else.

I get that everyone hates Microsoft because they were the big guys back then and didn't care. They are no longer the big guys, they are under new management that doesn't seem to spit when they talk. Their software quality is going up as they are trying to get back into the market. I think anything that is new and wasn't made when Balmer was in charge may be really good. The entire apple division as an example.
We need a “One Note solution” on Mac OS X ML/Mavs and iOS7. Because of operations in remote regions, we would prefer wireless sync between devices, not iCloud. USB sync will be preferred, though. Mac’s Notes is quite slick but also not even remotely comparably to MS OneNote.
The interface can be a little weird at first glance, however, particularly if you’re the sort of Mac user who has never used the ribbon. It’s not complicated, though: just three tabs full of quick access to formatting and other options.
